Haori is a type of traditional Japanese outerwear, a jacket or blazer-like garment.
 
This 1930s haori is made of ‘meisen’ silk, using a ‘kasuri’ – a traditional Japanese method of producing a printed fabric. The item features striking floral pattern and a pine motif on the lining. This haori is reversible; you can wear it on both sides.
