Hanten is a traditional Japanese work/festival coat, usually made of cotton.
This hand-stitched and hand-dyed indigo hanten dates to the 1960s. It features ‘take’ (a bamboo) kanji on the back and a ‘bamboo thread club’ inscription on the front.
